Soundrop is now BeatStars’ exclusive partner for distribution

If you wish to transfer your catalog, you will need to take action and consent to your account details being transferred over by February 29, 2024. Once you’ve consented, there’s no further requirement on your end - you can sit back and continue to use BeatStars Distribution. Once we’re ready, you will receive an email that will let you know when you can begin to use Soundrop. From this point forward, Soundrop will manage your catalog and payments.
If you do not wish to transfer your catalog to Soundrop or do not take action before February 29, 2024, we will honor your current subscription until the end of your term. After this point, your catalog will be removed.

So why should you move over to Soundrop? Here are some major benefits:
Your music will continue to be available on the platforms where it was previously distributed through BeatStars, with no interruption to your streaming numbers. This means that you won't lose any potential revenue or exposure from your existing music catalog.
Until July 1, 2024, you can manage and submit your tracks without any additional costs, all while retaining 100% of your earnings that Soundrop collects for you. After this date, you’ll be able to keep 90% of your earnings that Soundrop collects for you (compared to the standard Soundrop rate of 85%), along with no subscription fee (Soundrop charges 99¢/track but this will be waived entirely if you decide to migrate).
Soundrop will equip you with robust marketing services, such as social media promotion and fan engagement tools, to help build your brand and expand your fanbase.
You will gain access to analytics and reports that were previously unavailable on BeatStars Distribution, including a new revenue dashboard and release statistics to help you make better informed decisions.
We’re continuing to evolve BeatStars, placing an even greater focus on the benefits, features and services that make BeatStars magical. That type of focus means we also need to step away from some services, specifically distribution.
We realize there are companies dedicated to distribution that can provide a much higher level of service to our community. So we’re excited to announce an exclusive partnership with a leader in global music distribution services for independent creators, Soundrop!

Once we’re ready, you will receive an email that will let you know when you can begin to use Soundrop. From this point forward, Soundrop will manage your catalog and payments.

Your streaming numbers will not change if you transfer your catalog over to Soundrop
For those who switch to Soundrop Distribution, you’ll enjoy the same DSP coverage as with BeatStars Distribution.
You will not lose any earnings during the migration process. Once you migrate, any new earnings reports from that point forward will be accessible through your Soundrop account. Any previous earnings reports will only be accessible through your BeatStars account.
For those who switch to Soundrop Distribution:

Extensive marketing tools: Soundrop will equip you with robust marketing services, such as social media promotion and fan engagement tools, to help build your brand and expand your fanbase.
New analytics & reporting: You will gain access to analytics and reports that were previously unavailable on BeatStars Distribution, including a new revenue dashboard and release statistics to help you make better informed decisions.
Your BeatStars account will stay active, so you’ll still be able to take advantage of other features such as Beat ID and BeatStars Publishing, in addition to the marketplace.
No, the migration won’t affect your YouTube Content ID catalog.
Beginning July 1, 2023, we will not be renewing any existing Distribution users.
After opting in to migrate your catalog, Soundrop will send you an email when they are ready for you to create your account. At this point, you will need to agree to their distribution terms.
You’ll have 7 days from your subscription renewal date to cancel your subscription for the upcoming year and receive a refund.
